Contemplation in the ACAV approach
If you are looking for a clear, progressive framework for your practice, Message Initial offers an approach called ACAV (Academy of Auditory and Visual Contemplation), designed by Alain Lortie. It places contemplation at the center of an autonomous path: you advance by yourself, at your own pace, without an institutional guide, relying on readings and a guiding thread. Open to everyone, it is practiced just as well with a life of faith as without.
In practice, a questionnaire establishes your starting point, then you follow structured readings and a daily contemplative practice of about twenty minutes, organized into four deepening phases: recognition, differentiation, integration, and stabilization. A tracking tool lets you observe your progress over time.
